Step-by-step instructions!

Whisk the chocolate cake's dry ingredients in a large bowl, and the wet ingredients in a separate bowl.


Combine the wet and dry ingredients, then whisk in a mixture of melted butter and melted chocolate chips.


Pour the chocolate cake batter  into your prepared cake pan(s) and bake.  In the meantime, prepare the easy chocolate ganache filling and chocolate buttercream frosting.


The ganache filling is made from semi-sweet chocolate chips and heavy cream.  We're going to layer this cake using the Cut and Stack method with cake rings, but you can use regular round cake pans too.


Fill the 3-layer cake with the rich chocolate ganache filling, then frost the outside with fluffy chocolate buttercream frosting.
