 - all-purpose flour  - instant yeast  - cream cheese  - almond extract  - fruit filling of choice (optional)

Roll a butter/flour mixture between parchment paper and freeze until firm.  Then make the sweet yeast dough (no kneading required!).

Roll out the danish dough and place the firm butter on the dough.

Fold the danish dough around the butter and repeat this step 3 more times to create lots of flakey butter layers in the dough.

After the dough has risen, roll out the dough into two circles and fill with cream cheese filling and your choice of fruit filling.

Brush the cream cheese danish with an egg wash and sprinkle with sugar.  Bake until lightly golden.  They will puff up and look beautiful!
