INGREDIENTS

 - moist vanilla cake scraps or crumbled fresh vanilla cake (try our vanilla almond cake recipe)  - stabilized vanilla whipped cream  - homemade strawberry and blueberry compote fillings

Follow our easy instructions for success!

Prepare the easy fresh strawberry and fresh blueberry compote fillings according to the recipe instructions.  Bake the vanilla cake and allow it to cool.

Make the fresh whipped cream with heavy cream, pure vanilla, powdered sugar, and instant clearjel (an amazing thickener).

Layer each "cake in the jar" by alternating layers of moist cake, fresh fruit filling, and vanilla whipped cream in 8-ounce mason jars.  Tie each jar with cute twine and a disposable wooden spoon.

Alternatively, you can layer the cake and fillings in disposable 8-ounce cups for cute Fourth of July cake cups!
